For anyone that may not have had the pleasure of experiencing Chadwick Boseman’s film talent, he played Black American icons Jack Robinson and James Brown before captivating audiences in his majestic role as Black Pather in Marvel’s blockbuster movie franchise. Mr. Boseman died of colon cancer at the young age of 43. What is remarkable about Mr. Boseman, is how he lived his life and the example he set for others…vibrant, giving, and demonstrating love for others.
When he was in the midst of a personal health battle, he didn’t appear to complain or even share his struggle, but rather he poured his creativity into producing multiple compelling movies and demonstrating compassion for others. How many of us can say that we would have the strength to exemplify the same character or behavior under difficult circumstances?
There were several reports that “colorectal” searches spiked when fans heard of Chadwick Boseman’s passing, which may have brought visibility to this type of cancer. Perhaps his fans and an extended reader base are now aware of the risks and symptoms associated with colon and rectal cancer, and are now aware of screening options. In any case, please ensure that you, your friends, and your loved ones practice proper health etiquette by being educated and receiving timely screenings and exminations!
